Automatic Dimension
To place a dimension, navigate to the "Conclass" tab and click on "Dimension".

In the "Dimension" dialog, you have the option to select various references for the dimension. If you wish to dimension references from a linked model, please select the checkboxes in the "Linked Model" section. Note that you can disable all checkboxes by right-clicking with the mouse. If you want to include references from your active model, proceed to the "Active Model" section. You can add the following references:
-
Openings: Use this option to dimension both a host element and its openings.
-
Intersecting Walls: This option allows you to dimension a host element along with its intersecting walls. Upon selecting a wall for dimension placement, a multi-segmented dimension string will automatically be generated.
-
Intersecting Grids: Choose this option to dimension a host element and the grids that intersect it. When a wall is selected for dimensioning, a multi-segmented dimension string will automatically display, indicating the grids that intersect the wall's centerline at a perpendicular angle.
-
Intersecting Systems: Select this option to dimension a host element and its intersecting MEP elements. Upon selecting a wall for dimension placement, a multi-segmented dimension string will automatically be generated.

To place a dimension, click on either "Place dimensions on wall" or "Place dimensions on linked wall." Then, hover the cursor over a host element until it is highlighted and click to place the dimension automatically. Continue by selecting the next host element. To terminate the operation, press the [ESC] key.
